Legion:
From the Latin word Legio, which is derived from Lego which means to gather and assemble (like the toy Legos)
In ancient Rome, the free citizens who owned land were the only ones allowed to fight within the Legions, they called themselves the “Legio” and to them that meant specifically they were a free people who were assembled together to fight for a mutual cause.
How we’re different:
Legion MMA was brought on by a passion to recreate the environment and training experiences that cemented themselves in the head coach and owner Duque along his 23 plus years as full time practitioner of varied disciplines. While there are a lot of good instructors and coaches locally, Legion aims to be a place where culture, passion, and commitment to excellence is not secondary, but equal to the pursuit of becoming a proficient martial artist and fighter. This goal is only brought about when people come together in pursuit of a common goal- and that’s where the name LEGION is born.
